University of Geneva
John Calvin, the famous religious thinker founded the University of Geneva in 1559, and since then the university has prided itself on its free thinking and diversity. More the 35 percent of students are non-Swiss. Spread across three campuses, the university maintains a healthy relationship with Genevese institutions, and is a member of the League of European Research Universities (LERU).
