IT Support EngineerLocation:   Zurich  (hybrid model: home office/onsite) Start date:   ASAPDuration:     4-6 months  (+ext. possibility)Languages: English (fluent), German (fluent), Turkish (highly advantageous)Workload:   100% For our international client in the Engineering industry we are looking for a communicative, service and solution oriented personality as a IT Support Engineer with System Engineer background and experience for a temporary contract role in Zurich. Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • Understand how information systems (HW, SW) are used
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests (tickets in Ticket Tool)
  • Troubleshooting problems, to either solve directly or refer them to 3 rd parties
  • Talking IT users (customers) through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over MS Teams & Teamviewer, to help set up systems or resolve issues; explain a technical problem in plain words
  • Installing or assisting with configuration of computer hardware, software and peripheral items
  • Setting up accounts, manage access rights, help with password resets, manage rule settings
  • Replacing equipment as necessary and manage HW inventory
  • Testing and evaluating new systems and technologies
  • Monitoring and managing alert- and healthstate- messages of our systems
  • Monitoring and maintaining EDI systems and networks
  • Write system documentation and user manuals
  • work continuously on a task until timely completion (or manage referral to third parties) prioritise and manage many open cases at the same 
  • Escalation to team lead in time, if necessary


IT Skills:

  • Kledge of computer hardware and network systems 
  • Standard SW tools 
  • Windows Server/ Windows 10 environment 
  • O365 suite, Microsoft Teams 
  • EDI tools

 Soft Skills:

  • Team Player, also in virtual/remote teams 
  • A technical, logical thought process 
  • Problem-solving approach with outstanding listening and questioning skills
  • Friendly behaviour on call or in writing 
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and suppliers
