Job Description & Responsibilities: Oracle DBA:

  • Work in a 24*7 support team managing the Incidents, Service requests & change requests
  • Cater to user queries/issues received via emails/calls/Skype
  • Participate in MIM calls and support in fixing productions issues
  • Participate in problem management activities like INC reduction program
  • Coordinate with L2 teams for issues which are out of scope for L1
  • Coordinate with other support teams for critical activities like server restart
  • Excellent oral & written English communication skills
  • Must be highly organized with ability to work well under pressure, sensitive to risk and controls
  • Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security in 24 X 7 environment.
  • od understanding of Oracle Architecture
  • od kledge of Oracle 10 / 11g / 12c / 19c, Oracle 10 / 11G RAC, Oracle 12c RAC, Oracle 19c RAC
  • Experience with Oracle GRID Control, ASM, Recovery Manager, Import / Export and Datapump
  • Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c and 19c)
  • Hands on Experience in Backup and Recovery – RMAN
  • Hands on experience on Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Monitor the CPU and Memory utilization of the db servers
  • Working kledge of Control_M Jobs would be an advantage
  • Desire to learn, or expand kledge, about Oracle Database and customer focus

 MSSQL DBA:

  • Work in a 24*7 support team managing the Incidents, Service requests & change requests

  • Hands on experience in SQL server administration (HA, performance tuning, backups, Restore/refresh, monitoring, auditing)
  • Clustering management and administration
  • Job Monitoring & Executions
  • Security/User Access management and Database Space Management
  • Maintenance of database activities like index maintenance, statistics update, DBCC, backup management etc.
  • od in High Availability i.e. Always on, Clustering etc.
  • od Kledge in data, log file and architecture
  • Working Kledge of Control_M would be an advantage
  • Desire to learn, or expand kledge, about MSSQL Database and customer focus

Sybase DBA:

  • Work in a 24*7 support team managing the Incidents, Service requests & change requests
  • Cater to user queries/issues received via emails/calls/Skype
  • Participate in MIM calls and support in fixing productions issues

  • Coordinate with L2 teams for issues which are out of scope for L1
  • Coordinate with other support teams for critical activities like server restart

  • Responsible for supporting the Sybase databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security in 24 X 7 environment
  • Experience with Sybase ASE 16 including replication v15.7/16 and Sybase IQ
  • Experience in performance & tuning of OLTP & data warehouse applications
  • Working kledge of Index Strategy (i.e. Fragmentation), Maintain Statistics (Update Statistics)
  • Provide Sybase replication support for Table level and MSA types of replication
  • Analyzing system performance using DBCC, Traceon commands, query plan output, system procedures like sp_sysmon, MDA tables & other performance monitoring tools
  • Working Kledge of Control_M would be an advantage
  • Desire to learn, or expand kledge, about Sybase Database and customer focus
