As part of the Compliance Team the placeholder will be reporting to the Country Head of Risk & Compliance to whom he will provide support with risk management and specific projects. The primary purpose of the role will be to safeguard the business and its reputation, to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations, be pivotal in interpreting and applying those rules, and to assess, report, escalate and monitor remediation where issues arise.Key responsibilities:

  • Manage global compliance processes, tasks and responsibilities, including second line of defense responsibilities in the clients’ lifecycle such as onboarding, change of circumstances, terminations
  • Monitor actively the client base and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements by collaborating closely with front business and Country Head of Risk & Compliance
  • Identify legal, regulatory, financial or reputational risks and escalate these promptly with remediation proposals
  • Provide support to the Country Head of Risk & Compliance in various projects such as the development of global compliance tools and monitoring measures, and participate in the setup and implementation of such interdisciplinary projects
  • Support internal and external audit activities as well as requests from regulators and other authorities
  • Promote compliance awareness by advising staff and conducting trainings in relevant compliance topics.


  • University degree in an area related to Law, Compliance, or an equivalent education
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on professional experience in the financial services industry, with demonstrated in-depth, detailed kledge of all relevant legal obligations and compliance regulations relating to trust, corporate and fiduciary matters
  • Solid kledge of Trusts, Foundations and similar structures
  • STEP qualification is a great asset
  • Ability to work independently, effectively, efficiently and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and business communication skills enable to contribute to the team’s success
  • Excellent organisational skills and communication capabilities as well as the ability to develop relationships both internally and with regulatory bodies
  • Solution-oriented with a high level of self-motivation and discipline
  • Hands-on, reliable and discreet personality with the flexibility of taking on tasks beyond the job description
  • Fluent in English, German and / or French
  • Effective use of IT systems/appropriate software package (MS Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, CRM database)
