​The Kusnacht Practice has an opening for a Medical Secretary. We are looking for someone who will be responsible for the calendar management of the entire medical team, communicates with patients and external professionals and performs important administrative tasks. In particular, the Medical Secretary overlooks the whole assessment and treatment process. You should be very service and detail oriented, proactive and have excellent organisation skills. Excellent English and German skills are a must.
 
 
Your Responsibilities
  • Ensures productivity of the medical team by maintaining and reviewing calendars
  • Preparing all documentation for medical staff i.e. medical reports and summaries, client histories, operative notes, manuscripts and correspondence; planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling projects
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; maintaining patient records; recording meeting discussions (weekly meeting and ad-hoc meetings)
  • Co-responsibility of all administratively relevant issues in connection with the health authority and other state institutions in collaboration the Practice Manager   
  • Contribution to quality improvement projects as required. 
  • Kledge of cooperation with external partners and the related contractual and pricing arrangements
  • Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards
  • Ensuring high quality medical care and client satisfaction, supporting all short-term requests
  • Management of additional costs and collaborating with Finance and Client Relations
  • Planning consultations of out-patients with TKP doctors, answering calls from out-patients and maintain contact
  • Communicates and interacts with all departments effectively and professionally

 

You are/have  
  • Prior experience working in a clinic or hospital environment with kledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, very detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in fluent German and English (in-person, over the phone, and online). Additional languages a plus
  • A high level of discretion to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access
  • Must work exceptionally well in a fast-paced, round-the-clock environment and demonstrate an entrepreneurial work ethic that looks for opportunities when confronting challenges
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland (CH-Nationality or EU/EFTA Citizenship)
